Tarang homestay is located on the banks of the Chaliyar River, with the footprint of the old “Pandikashaala” and its Padipura tracing the edge of the river. The site features a picturesque entry with access from both the river and the road. The design seamlessly blends the old and new, with over a third of the site sharing the water’s edge. Every part of the house is oriented to provide views of the river, promoting openness and free movement. Connecting corridors are designed with arecanut barks, a natural material that integrates with the surrounding coconut palms and river canopy, bridging the two eras of the homestead in harmony with nature.
